POLICIES

The Perth College of Business and Technology has policies and procedures which apply to international students. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with all policies relating to your time as an international student at the Perth College of Business and Technology. It is of utmost importance that students familiarise themselves with these policies and procedures as the successful completion of their chosen course and maintaining their visa depends on them.

International Students under the age of 18 years

At this time Perth College of Business and Technology has chosen not to make available courses to young international students who are the under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years of age we recommend that you seek a college which does provide the course you are looking for.

1. International Students study load and monitoring of course progress to assist in the completion within expected duration.

This policy covers the procedure related to International Students in relation to the monitoring of their progress and attendance. It also outlines the actions that will be taken if students do not meet the study requirements as an international student.

2.International Students under the age of 18 years

3.Deferring, Suspending or Cancelling the International Student’s Enrolment

The following Policy and Procedure is developed to outline the manner in which the Perth College of Business and Technology may enable students to defer or temporarily suspend their studies, including granting a leave of absence, during their formal course. An application form to apply for Deferment or Cancellation is available upon request from the managing staff at PCBT.

4.International Student Transferring Between Registered Providers

This policy covers the procedure for students transferring between registered providers. It is vital to the student’s progress and visa requirements that should they choose to transfer that they obtain all the necessary letters and forms and ensure they are completed with accurate information.

5.International Student Course Credit and Exemption Policy

Students who have successfully completed prior course or have relevant work experience may be eligible for course credit and or exemption. Please refer to the policy and procedures for further assistance or ask the enrolment officer prior to enrolment.
